Shower Thoughts

A few years ago my wife got me these waterproof pads of paper that you can stick on the side of your shower. While at the moment it seemed like a novelty, these little pads have been at the heart of my art practice in recent years.

I might draw a squiggle in a second before I lather up, or I might linger for a minute connecting shapes or noodling out a character. No matter what, I’m having a conversation with myself across time in the unique headspace that is only found in the shower.

Thankfully, the water bill

is no higher than it used to be ;)
