Why Juan's Re-election Matters

Hiram is at a critical moment. After years of financial growing instability, we've finally turned the corner under strong leadership. But progress is fragile, and we need experienced voices who understand both where we've been and where we're going.

Juan has been part of the team that:

  • Implemented strong fiscal controls and accountability

  • Secured grants for critical water and sewer upgrades

  • Added essential police and fire staff

  • Strengthened our partnership with Hiram College

  • Launched downtown revitalization efforts

  • Modernized the village website and digital communications systems

The work isn't finished. Your vote ensures we keep building on this foundation.

Juan's Vision: 3 Key Priorities

1. Financial Stability Meets Future Growth

The Challenge: Hiram's biggest issue remains maintaining financial stability while building for the future.

Juan's Plan: Continue the fiscal discipline that's working while pushing harder on economic growth. Support downtown revitalization to bring in more business tax revenue. Secure proper funding for police, fire, and infrastructure. Strengthen our partnership with Hiram College—they're key to our economic future. Smart, steady leadership that builds on progress without risking what we've gained.

2. Transparency and Community Connection

The Challenge: Trust and transparency remain ongoing concerns. Reduced office hours limit resident access to village administration.

Juan's Solution:

  • Restore expanded office hours for better in-person and phone contact

  • Use technology to improve communication—Facebook updates, email newsletters, and website enhancements

  • Continue weekly coffee chats at MORE Cafe (Wednesdays, noon-2pm)

  • Listen first, act second—real solutions come from understanding what residents actually need

"My most productive moments come from listening. I represent you, not a government agenda. That's representative democracy: serving your interests and ensuring your voice drives decisions."

3. Collaborative Budget Management

The Challenge: Ensuring essential services are fully funded while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Juan's Approach: Continue the financial discipline established under Mayor Haynam's administration. Bring all stakeholders—fire, EMS, police, water, sewage—to the table for collaborative budgeting. Ensure departments get what they need to thrive, not just survive, while protecting services residents depend on.

Ready to Keep Building?

Hiram has momentum. We've fixed our finances, improved our services, and started planning for growth. But this progress requires continued commitment and experienced leadership.

Juan José Fernandez has proven he can work collaboratively, think strategically, and deliver results. His unique background in technology and community engagement brings fresh solutions to age-old challenges.

This election isn't about starting over—it's about building on what's working.
